CENTER FOR STUDY OF FILM AND CENSORSHIP

The Center for the Study of Media and Censorship serves as an environment in which researchers and students in our university can develop and conduct grant- funded research on topics dealing with mass communication and its effects on Intolerance in Europe and in America.

The Center’s for the Study of Media and Censorship has as its primary resource the Forsher Film Archives, a collection of over 5,000 films, television shows, commercials , documentaries , newsreels, print material and cartoons that span the entire 20th century.  The collection is presently housed in a vault near Seattle Washington. Beginning in 2018, portions of the collection will be available at the University of Vienna in digitized forms and accessible on computers.
